On July 22, 2026, the Hyde Park City Council approved Ordinance 2026-11 repealing the RT (residential transition) zone and closing the R2 and MXD (mixed use) zones to development pending upcoming code changes. Parcels in the RT, R2 and MXD zones may not apply for development at this time. Only Zoning Clearance Letters for building permits will be issued in the R2 and MXD zones.
